I grew up in Pune and currently live in the small town of Champaign, Illinois ~200 km south of Chicago, USA. I do research in the field of computational imaging, currently pursuing a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). We work on making imaging better by integrating advanced signal processing and AI algorithms with imaging physics. I completed my masters from UIUC in 2019 and B.Tech in Engineering Physics from IIT Madras.
I am an Indian classical music enthusiast and have been trained Hindusthani music on the harmonium. I have also dabbled a bit in Carnatic violin when I lived in Chennai, (but didn't get beyond playing some squaky notes!). I'm also interested in food, and reading/watching about world history.
